Rafael Devers Calca(DEH-vers; born October 24, 1996) is a Dominican professional baseball third baseman for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). Listed at 6 feet 0 inches (1.83 m) and 210 pounds (95 kg), Devers bats left-handed and throws right-handed.

On July 23, 2017, Devers was promoted to the Boston Red Sox. The move made Devers the youngest active MLB player, at 20 years and 274 days old, on the day he was called up. On July 26, Devers collected his first major league hit, a home run off of Andrew Moore of the Seattle Mariners. On Sunday, August 13th, Devers hit a 9th-inning game-tying home run off Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman, that was clocked at 102.8 mph. This was the fastest pitch hit for a home run since 2008, when such a stat was collected by Statcast. On September 6, Devers had a game winning RBI single for the Red Sox, and on September 22, 2017, Devers hit a go-ahead 3-run home run off of Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Sal Romano that led the Red Sox to a 5-4 victory.

On October 8th, 2017, Devers played a crucial role in game three of the American League Divisional Series against the Houston Astros. He stepped to the plate with two outs in the third inning and hit a two-run home run off former-starter-turned-reliever Francisco Liriano, giving the Red Sox their first lead yet in any game of the entire series. Boston would go on to win the game, saving themselves from being swept for the second consecutive year in the first-round of the playoffs. Additionally, Devers became only the sixth player in Major League Baseball history to hit a home run in the playoffs before his 21st birthday, joining Hall-of-Famer Mickey Mantle, Andruw Jones, Miguel Cabrera, Manny Machado, and Bryce Harper. He also became the youngest Red Sox player ever to homer in the postseason.

On October 9th, 2017, in game four of the American League Divisional Series against the Houston Astros, Devers became the youngest player to hit an inside-the-park home run in the postseason, although the Red Sox lost both the game and the Series.
